A leaking roof had left our clients Spanish Mission villa in poor condition. Years of damp had caused cracked and sagging ceilings, mouldy joinery, rotten stumps and borer holes in the timber trim.
We designed a complete renovation and refurbishment, stabilising the existing house and adding a new kitchen, dining and laundry area.
The roof was almost entirely rebuilt, original timber floors were exposed and refinished and modern, efficient services were installed.
Our clients were based in the US over the period of the renovation, so we managed the project from measure-up to completion, including regular video updates, file sharing of 3D models and hard-copy sample boards.
We called tenders for the project, administered the building contract and dealt with the inevitable issues that arise when reviving an old house.
The house was ready and waiting for our clients when they returned home to Australia.Highlights
